Sex Crimes and Child Pornography
Sex crimes range in seriousness from Indecent Exposure to Rape. They are some of the most vigorously prosecuted class of crimes and carry very significant jail sentences upon conviction, many involving minors carrying very significant mandatory minimum jail sentences. Internet Pornography and Child Pornography prosecutions normally result from stings set up by various police departments, with a police officer playing the role of a minor in a chat room, expressing desire and/or willingness to engage in sex with an unwitting adult. Conviction of many sex crimes triggers the registration requirements mandated by Megan’s Law. In some instances, conviction of a sex crime requires mandatory lifetime registration. An aggressive defense from the beginning is an absolute necessity.
Domestic Violence
Ever since OJ, the unwritten rule in law enforcement is that when a 911 call for domestic violence is answered, someone’s getting arrested. Unfortunately, many of these arrests are of the wrong person!!!
